A large majority of Americans - 77 percent - believe abortion should be legal at least "under certain circumstances," according to a Newsweek magazine poll released Saturday.
The poll, taken a few days after last weekend's massive march on Washington by an estimated 300,000 abortion- rights advocates, found that 27 percent of those questioned believe abortion should be legal without any restrictions.
Police arrested 130 anti-abortion protesters Saturday in a rally outside a women's clinic in Milwaukee and about 56 demonstrators were detained at two clinics in Jackson, Miss., police said.
